| CAMPUS SUMMARY |

Mount Ida is located on a 72-acre campus in Newton, MA. A residential suburb only eight miles west of downtown Boston. The college provides a bus from the campus to public transportation for easy access to the city for both our resident and commuting populations. Our campus has five residence halls to accommodate approximately 740 students. New buildings include an Academic Technology Center and a new Athletic Center.
The college has a commitment to serving a diverse student population through academically rigorous programs and leadership and service learning opportunities. Most majors combine classroom learning with internship opportunities that often lead to permanent positions. Class size is small, averaging approximately 25, and studio classes range from 12-20. Our student population comes from more than 30 states and 40 countries creating a very exciting learning environment for all. |

Mount Ida offers professional focused bachelor and associate degree majors in more than 30 areas of study including business, design and merchandising, science and allied health, psychology, education, communications, criminal justice, legal studies, and many more. Each major includes a solid foundation in the liberal arts along with courses that are focused on developing skills to prepare students for professional employment. Active learning and/or internships are an important component of the curriculum.
Academic support in skill and content tutoring is available to all interested students at no additional cost. A special support program for students with diagnosed learning disabilities is also available at an additional cost. |
