First-Year Students
First-year candidates applying to Regis College receive individual consideration. To be eligible for admission to Regis College, a student must be a graduate of an accredited secondary school with a college preparatory background.
Students may be granted college credit for each advanced placement test score of three, four, or five. These courses will count toward those required for the degree. The courses may or may not count toward the requirement of the major, depending upon a particular program's policy. In some instances, a score of four or five is required by a program for credit.
Regis College recognizes the rigors of the International Baccalaureate program. Transcripts of students in such programs are evaluated on an individual basis by the Vice President of Academic Affairs to determine the number of college credits to be awarded. The credits for this evaluation include the student's academic performance during the program and outcome as demonstrated by final grades.
First-year students should submit a completed online application and:
- $40 application fee (check or money order payable to Regis College)
- Official high school transcript or official GED Score report, along with official high school transcript of any courses completed
- First quarter senior grades/midterm grades
- Official results from either the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) (if English is your native language), American College Testing Program (ACT), or TOEFL scores (if English is not your native language)
- Two letters of recommendation on official letterhead — (1) guidance, (1) teacher
- Interview — strongly encouraged
Home-Schooled Students
A list of courses we expect each traditional high school student to take is listed below. In addition, we would ask that you submit all syllabi, reading lists, and grading records. If you are pursuing a specific independent study course, please submit all requirements for this course. Also, we expect you to take the SAT or ACT test, as well as three SAT II tests. We will review your application carefully. If we believe that more information is required, we may ask you to come to our campus for further testing.

International Students
To be eligible to attend Regis College, a student must be a graduate of an accredited secondary school and have a college preparatory background. International students who do not speak English as the first language are expected to show their proficiency in English (a minimum of 213/550 is accepted on the TOEFL). Please note that international transcripts may need additional evaluation. This is determined on a case by case basis. If extra evaluation is necessary, we will require an additional application fee.
International students should submit all that is required of first-year students and:
- An official personal bank statement, which provides evidence of ability to afford college tuition and living expenses
- Official translation of transcript(s)
Transfer Students
Transfer students for the fall or spring semester must be in good academic standing at an accredited institution, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 on the Regis College scale, and not be on academic or disciplinary probation. All college-level and advanced placement courses will be considered for transfer. A maximum of 20 courses taken at any accredited colleges or universities may be accepted for transfer credit. Course credit evaluations are typically sent with the letter of acceptance, informing students of their anticipated entering class status. Nursing students should inquire about specific requirements.
Transfer students should submit a completed online application and:
- $40 application fee (check or money order payable to Regis College)
- Official final high school transcript or official GED Score report, along with official high school transcript of any courses completed
